Black Watch
The Black Watch Team, sponsored by Neil Hirsch, sports four professional players and is no stranger to high-goal competition. Sugar Erskine of South Africa has played in a number of US Open Championships and travels throughout the world in search of the top titles in polo. With Erskine is Fred Mannix from Canada who continues to call himself an amateur but the United States Polo Association Handicap Committee has ranked him at six goals, a feat the majority of pro’s on the polo circuit have yet to attain. Next is Nacho Figueras who has been with Hirsch’s organization for several years and continues to make this team a top competitor. Figueras is also the Ralph Lauren clothing model for the Black Watch Line. The field is rounded out by Luis Escobar who plays at every level and is the cover model for International Polo Club Palm Beach.
