EFG Bank

This team made its International Polo Club debut in 2009 and is led by James Whisenand, a relatively new comer to the sport of polo, with six years experience. However, Whisenand has ridden competitively since he was eight years old. With his team being sponsored by EFG they are involved in the 40-goal challenge event at International Polo and will be traveling to Dubai for the Cartier Challenge. Also playing for EFG Bank is last year’s North American Polo League scoring leader, Julio Arellano, who grew up playing polo in Wellington and now calls Aiken, South Carolina home when he is not playing around the world. The team is rounded out by Luis Escobar who also grew up playing polo in Wellington and Whistle Uys from South Africa.
