John Walsh

John A. Wash, CCM - President Of Club Operations

John Wash brings a vast wealth of experience in all aspects of golf, resort and country club service. He initially graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York and then went on to become an Executive Chef. From there he made the transition to hotel management at the General Manager level. In 1996, Wash joined the elite group of accredited club managers as he became a CCM, (Certified Club Manager) a distinction that marks the highest level of professionalism within the industry.

Polo and Box Office

Maria Feola
Maria Feola – Box Office Manager

Maria Feola joined the club as Box Office Manager during its inaugural season in 2003, supervising cashiers, ushers, transportation and ticket sales personnel. She has been instrumental in making sure the Sunday polo matches run as smooth as possible behind the scenes. Prior to joining IPC, Maria worked in the front office management team at The Breakers Hotel, PGA National Resort Spa and Brazilian Court Hotel. Ray Mooney
Ray Mooney - Director of Facilities

Ray Mooney joined International Polo Club following his role as Golf Course and Development Superintendent for Poplar Grove Club in Amherst, Virginia, which was ranked No. 8 in the New Upscale Semi-Private clubs in 2005 by Golf Digest magazine. It was there he acted as project manager in the construction of the facility and growing-in of the golf course. He also worked at The World Golf Village in St. Augustine, FL, Hilton Head National in Bluffton, SC, The Farm Golf Club in Dalton, GA and at Chattanooga Golf and Country Club. Ray also served as a volunteer for three Masters Tournaments from 1995-1997. In addition, Ray acted as project manager for Goodman\’s newly renovated Wanderers Club and oversees the golf course maintenance. Jimmy Newman
Jimmy Newman - Polo Manager

A 40-year veteran of the sport of polo, Jimmy came to IPC in 2003 with an impressive history of polo management. In addition to managing the polo at IPC during the winter months, he also directs the polo at various polo clubs during the summer. From 1996 to 2001 Jimmy managed the polo at Palm Beach Polo & Country Club and from 1977 to 1996 he managed the Retama Polo Center in San Antonio, Texas. Paul Hope
Paul Hope - Director of Tennis and Croquet

Paul has been directing tennis clubs on the East Coast of the U.S.A. for the past 20 years and has been the tennis director of I.P.C. for the past five seasons. Originally a native of the Great Britain , he ranked among the top 16 players. He was recruited on an atheletic scholarship to play tennis at Morehead University in Kentucky . While at Morehead Paul achieved Ohio Valley conference champion his Freshman year . After graduating with a Masters degree in Health , Physical Education and Recreation , he began managing tennis clubs .Paul has been ranked #3 in the Men\’s Open Singles Division U.S.P.T.A. as well as a State Doubles champion of Florida and Kentucky N.C.A.A. Julie Pickens
Julie Pickens - Director of Membership and Food and Beverage

As IPC’s Director of Membership and Food & Beverage, Julie oversees the private, members-only Mallet Grille and the “New” 7th Chukker restaurants. This gives her the opportunity to become familiar with the members and their needs. “We have created a setting where our members, polo and equestrian enthusiasts can come together to enjoy all of the amenities and excitement of a world-class club. William Sellner
William Sellner, Jr - Executive Chef

William Sellner Jr. came to IPC in 2006. A graduate of the New England Culinary Institute Montpelier Vt., Chef William, as he is referred to by staff and members a like is a warm and lively presence around the club with and impressive array of experience behind him. Chef William worked under the direction of Chef Marc Colle, the former chef at the Italian Embassy. He was also Executive Sous chef at Yale University’s Private Club Mory’s, Executive Chef at Michelle’s Fine Dining in Bar Harbor Maine, achieved and maintained AAA Four star rating for ten consecutive years and has been published in two books. He spent several years at Mar-a- Lago Palm Beach as Chef de Cuisine and Executive Sous chef and helped maintain its 5-star status. Donna M. Zibura
Donna M. Zibura - Director of Finance

Donna M. Zibura joined International Polo Club and Wanderer’s Club as the Director of Finance in June. She comes to us from Toll Brothers, Inc., Luxury Homebuilder, where she was the Assistant Division Controller of the Golf Division. In that position she was responsible for reviewing and consolidating financial information for Toll Brother’s nine Golf Clubs across the United States. Her career experience consists of working eight years in the golf industry, three years in construction accounting, six years in insurance accounting and five years in the banking industry. She is a graduate of Seton Hall University with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting.
