Piaget took advantage of three goals by handicap from the 25-goal La Ensenada team as it ran up an early 5-2 lead after the first chukker of play. A pair of goals from the field from Juan Agustin Garcia Grossi was answered with two penalty goals from Piaget’s Nic Roldan for the 5-2 score.

Lucas James added two more goals to the La Ensenada total, but Piaget fired right back. A pair of goals from Gonzalito Pieres and a single goal from the field from Juan Bollini gave Piaget a comfortable 8-4 advantage after two periods.

La Ensenada rallied for three straight goals in the third as James converted two penalty shots and added a goal from the field. Roldan converted a 60-yard penalty shot for Piaget for a 9-7 halftime lead.
The two teams exchanged goals in the fourth with James recording his sixth goal of the day. Bollini scored a goal for Piaget as they continued to lead, 10-8.

Grossi scored from the field in the fifth for La Ensenada and James converted a 40-yard penalty shot for a goal to tie it at 10-10. Roldan closed out the chukker with a goal from the field and a 60-yard penalty goal. With one chukker left to play, Piaget continued to lead, 12-10.

Sixth chukker goals from La Ensenada’s Alan Meeker and Matias Magrini were answered by two more penalty conversions from Pieres for the 14-12 Piaget win.

Roldan was credited with five goals for Piaget. Pieres added four goals and Bollini scored twice. Piaget received three goals by handicap.

James set the pace for the day with seven goals. Grossi scored three times and Meeker and Magrini added single goals.
