John Wash brings a wealth of experience to all aspects of golf, resort, and country club service. He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., then went on to become an executive chef. He transitioned to being a general manager, and successfully headed up some of America’s finest private country clubs. In 1996, Wash joined the elite group of accredited club managers by becoming a CCM (Certified Club Manager), a distinction that marks the highest level of professionalism within the industry. He was recruited to the top position at International Polo Club Palm Beach in 2007, and has been instrumental in expanding the club’s facilities since his arrival. Wash spearheaded the enhancement of the dining facilities, the addition of box seating in the stadium, the Wellington Zone, The Pavilion building, and several new polo fields.

“My management philosophy has always been to provide a superior lifestyle for club members. The key to a successful club is to ensure that members experience the full potential this lifestyle brings. I also work closely with the staff, encouraging them to be innovative, to be decisive, and, above all, to maintain integrity. Ray Mooney
Director of Facilities

Ray’s 10th polo season with the International Polo Club Palm Beach will be in 2016. He has maintained and prepared polo fields for over 1,200 high-goal polo matches, including the most prestigious and competitive polo tournaments in the United States. Ray has both an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and a Golf Turf Management Certificate from Rutgers. He has extensive experience in golf course construction, project management, property management, and turf management. Prior to coming to IPC, Ray worked as a golf course superintendent, assistant project manager, and property manager at Poplar Grove Golf Club in Amherst, Va., and was the golf course superintendent at the Slammer & Squire Golf Course at the World Golf Village Resort in St Augustine, Fla. He also has several years of experience working in a CPA firm performing audits, preparing tax returns, and providing management consulting. Ray and IPC continue to host Polo Field Turf Managers meetings to help all managers share information on polo field maintenance, and listen to agronomists speak on current issues facing turfgrass in South Florida.

Donna Zibura
Chief Financial Officer

Donna M. Zibura is the International Polo Club Palm Beach and The Wanderers Club’s CFO. She comes to us from Toll Brothers, Inc., Luxury Homebuilder, where she was the assistant division controller of the golf division. In that position, Donna was responsible for reviewing and consolidating financial information for Toll Brothers’ nine golf clubs across the United States. Her career experience consists of working eight years in the golf industry, three years in construction accounting, six years in insurance accounting, and five years in the banking industry. She is a graduate of Seton Hall University with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Maria Feola
Box Office Manager

Maria Feola joined the club as box office manager during its inaugural season in 2003, supervising cashiers, ushers, transportation, and ticket sales personnel. She has been instrumental in making sure the Sunday polo matches run as smoothly as possible behind the scenes. Prior to joining the International Polo Club Palm Beach, Maria worked with the front office management teams at The Breakers Hotel, PGA National Resort & Spa, and The Brazilian Court Hotel. Maria was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, and came to the United States in 1986.

Terrie Mooney

Originally from Michigan, Terrie is a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in communications. After relocating to Florida, she went to work for the Nicklaus Companies where she spent eight years as the tournament and sponsor coordinator of an LPGA Tour event. Following her term with the Nicklaus Companies, Terrie went to work as the event manager with the Executive Women’s Golf Association for three years. She joined the International Polo Club Palm Beach in October 2005 and is responsible for maintaining and securing new sponsorships.

This Spanish-Cuban born father of two joined the International Polo Club Palm Beach after 10 years with Starwood Hotels and Resorts in food and beverage roles for the Peach Tree Plaza, Atlanta, Ga., Le Meridien Hotel Brand, Boston, Mass., The Resort at Singer Island Luxury Collection Brand in Florida, and at the Sheraton International, Philadelphia, Pa., as director of catering. Nelson’s experience includes The Breaker’s Beach Club, Palm Beach and The Thousand Islands Club, St. Lawrence Seaway N.Y., among others. He is passionate about family, food, service, esthetics, and world travel.

William Sellner, Jr.

William Sellner, Jr. came to the International Polo Club Palm Beach in 2006. A graduate of the New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier, Vt., Chef William, as staff and members alike refer to him, is a warm and lively presence around the club with an impressive array of experience behind him. Chef William worked under the direction of Chef Marc Colle, the former chef at the Italian Embassy. He was also executive sous chef at Yale University’s private club Mory’s, executive chef at Michelle’s Fine Dining in Bar Harbor, Maine, has achieved and maintained a AAA four-star rating for 10 consecutive years, and has been published in two books. Chef William spent several years at The Mar-a-Lago Club, Palm Beach as chef de cuisine and executive sous chef, and helped maintain its five-star status. He has also worked under the direction of Karl Heinz Hauser a three-star Michelin chef.

He has a master’s degree in health, physical education, and recreation, as well as being a licensed Cardio Tennis™ and TRX Cardio Tennis™ instructor, and a former USPTA and USTA Florida State Doubles Champion. Paul is also an “International Weekend Director” and has hosted seven sports in one location, featuring international and world-class athletes from the United States, South Africa, South America, Ireland, and Great Britain. Additionally, he oversees the merchandising for the “Sports House,” including exclusive brands unique to the International Polo Club Palm Beach.

Rick is director of croquet at the International Polo Club Palm Beach, as well as an associate tennis professional. He represents IPC at the National Croquet Championships, and was selected to play for the United States in the first-ever Golf Croquet World Team Championships in Johannesburg, South Africa. In the summer months, Rick directs the Wyantenuck Country Club in Great Barrington, Mass., as well as teaches croquet at the Lenox Club.

Jimmy Newman

A veteran of the sport of polo, Jimmy came to the International Polo Club Palm Beach in 2003 with an impressive history of polo management. In addition to managing the polo at IPC during the winter months, he also directs the polo at various polo clubs during the summer. From 1996 to 2001, Jimmy managed the polo at Palm Beach Polo & Country Club, and from 1977 to 1996, he managed the Retama Polo Center in San Antonio. Jimmy’s career highlights include managing 21 U.S. Open Polo Championships and the legendary 1980 Cup of the Americas.
